Les/gay: Do you find that the usual romance movies have a different affect on you than straight/bi people?

I ended up having to search for gay romance movies because the Straight versions just didn't hit too close to home for some reason. Don't get me wrong, a couple have, but when I watch I usually see a cute guy with some chick, and I have dis contempt for the lady. Not right, I know, but none the less.
