Should a surgeon do open heart surgery if he knows the patient was drunk the night before the operation?

I disagree, sorry but if the hospital knew he had a drinking problem they should have asked if he had anything to drink, and/or made arrangements for him to be watched after 8 at night that evening family/outside helpcould have been considered. And i am sorry for you loss.
