Anyone who had read the book 'The Catcher in the Rye'?

The answer lies in your question. In chapter 2, Holden does not simply care about his future. As the ducks go nowhere. However, one might argue that the ducks to him has unknown destination, there fore Holden has unknown goals about himself......but I don't think thats the case "in chapter 2"....read the book, its a good one.
