Are there any types of bunnies that don't shed much?

my friend really wants to get a bunny, but her parents don't want any pets that shed a lot... is there any kind of rabbit that has short fur and doesn't shed, or are there any really good ways of reducing it? Is it cruel to just have an outdoor hutch for when the bunny sheds? Thanks in advance... Cherese
