Does human abduction for scientific observation/satanic exist?

I just watched a movie called "breathing room" about a group of people that were individually abducted and forced into a warehouse with other people while under video surveillance. The people were put through diabolic tests and forced to play mind games with each other in order to escape. Only one person was promised to go free in the end. Could these sort of traps really exist?
